Logo 2-15-2016 Segoe Black CenteredSummer is officially here, and it’s time to start looking forward to one of the premier events of the year, which happens at the end of summer – the Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival.  Now we’re not wishing our summer away by any means, just anticipating an elegant and fun weekend to cap it off.  There will be lots of wine and food in the intervening time.  Still, this particular event has long been our favorite for several reasons, including its overall excellence as well as the fact that it supports the Preservation Society of Newport County, an organization we also support personally.

Each year we preview the tweaks the Newport Mansions event organizers have introduced to make the event better.  This year is a bit different, as there are more than just minor additions.  The weekend gets some new events entirely in 2016, sees the seminar series once again expand in number and breadth, and introduces a new VIP ticket option for early access to the Grand Tastings as well as a special VIP area.  On Thursday night they are introducing an intimate Bordeaux dinner in the Marble House Gold Room.  This is changing,  but still maintaining the core of what makes it great.

We’ll be previewing the events and the seminars in more detail as we get closer, but here is the latest press release to get you thinking about it.  We’ll see you there!
