Repost – First Preview for the 2015 Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival

Wine-food-glass-logoSummer is almost here, and that means lot’s of good things are almost here as well.  We enjoy our summers, but also have to admit that we occasionally look past the lazy, hazy days and set our sights on late September, and the Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival.  It has long been one of our very favorite events, done with style and worth the entire weekend if you can spare the time (and the money).  This year promises to be no exception, although it may be better than ever.  It’s also the tenth anniversary of the event, so expect something special.  Let’s take a quick look at what is coming.  To read more about last year’s event click here.

There will be lots of wine, and they are filling in the exhibitor list now.  Already you can see some great producers listed, such as Blackbird, Larkin, Grgich Hills, Revana and Bouchaine.  The restaurant list is also filling in, and Boston and New York once again are represented.  There will be many more.  While the seminar list is still to be announced we can assure there will be some memorable ones based on past experience.  This year there will only be Friday seminars at the Hotel Viking, a new venue for this event.

We’ll do a much more in depth preview when it gets closer, but for now here are the highlights from the Newport Mansions webpage: http://www.newportmansions.org/events/wine-and-food-festival.
