Two Great Organic Value Wines from Art of Earth

Art of Earth produces a range of wines from some of the greatest winemaking regions of the world.  Their line includes wines from Sicily, Veneto and Abruzzi in Italy, Mendoza in Argentina, La Mancha in Spain and others.  They are very reasonably priced, and generally provide exceptional value.  If you search for Art of Earth on our site you’ll see many reviews over the years.  I can honestly say we have never tried a bottle from this producer we didn’t like.  That is a very impressive record.

Here we’ll take a look at two wines made from the high vineyards of Mendoza in Agentina.  Sheltered to the west by the Andes, watered with runoff from the mountains, and sitting thousands of feet above sea level, Mendoza is truly a world class region for fine wine.  Let’s see what is in these bottles.

Wine:   2022 Art of Earth Organic Chardonnay

Winery Location:  Mendoza, Argentina

Tasted By:  Neil            Date:   September 2023

Tasting Notes: The grapes come from the San Martin District in Mendoza, and produce a juice that is light golden in color.  The nose is full of ripe fruit, with apricot, fig and lychee.  It’s fresh and complex at the same time.  On the palate the wine is clean and smooth, with refreshing acid and impressive length.  This really is very good.  It is made in 100% stainless and undergoes malolactic fermentation.

Price Point –   $12

Would We Buy It?  Yes, as this is really high quality for the price.  It’s a clean and fresh Chardonnay, but also filled with some complex flavors.  I really liked it.

And now the red:

Wine:    2021 Art of Earth Organic Cabernet Sauvignon

Winery Location:  Mendoza, Argentina

Tasted By:   Neil & Cheri              Date:   September 2023

Tasting Notes:  This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine sees only stainless steel.  There is no oak here.  The juice is a medium, ruby red color.  A rich nose is resplendent with blackberry, currant, cherry, ripe strawberry, herbal notes, tobacco and more.  On the palate it is equally complex.  It has good balance and length.   When you consider the price and no oak treatment, you scratch your head a little bit wondering where all this is coming from.  But don’t worry about that and just enjoy the wine.  It is a screaming value.

Price Point –  $12

Would We Buy It?   Absolutely.  This is a great wine for the money.  It’s a great wine for twice the money.

Always great value, the wines from Art of Earth are ones to look for.  As we mentioned at the beginning of this review, they have wines from all over the world.  Try some and be delighted.

A votre santé!
